Make J-Street go green! Switch to washable dishes, cups, and utensils!
Think about much waste is produced from every meal eaten at J-Street. We are wasting so much paper and plastic that can be replaced with washable dishware like most other colleges and even Pelham Commons on the Vern. It also would be nice to eat with real cutlery from time to time.

We need lights on the Vern Fields
Both the soccer and softball fields need lights on them so groups can use them late into the night year round.

College Readership Program
Would still like subscriptions to newspapers - if not in print, then definitely online!

We are currently in talks with several newspapers to give students discounts to digital versions of publications previously distributed under the College Readership Program. You can always access free newspapers in Gelman and Eckles.

Place a bike rack to outside of Gelman Library. (maybe to the left of the building)
Currently students are forced to lock their bikes to the wrought iron bars that are all around Kogan Plaza. Not only would this provide a set place for student bikers but also make Kogan plaza look nicer.

The decision to get rid of WoW and the Hippodrome has been made, however the SA and Marvin Center Governing Board are involved in the planning and redesign of that space for student use.

Make CI more educational for incoming freshmen and less like a last chance to sell the school.
Incoming freshmen need to know more about services, organizations, and people at the University. More time should be spent on fundamental college information and the transition to college than on making GW look fun and advanced.

Provide water for important volunteering events.
All volunteer events that GW sponsors are lacking water for its participants. For fall move-in the email that participants received said that "Water will be available free of charge at all check-in hubs as well as other strategic locations. Familiarize yourself with where to go for water when you arrive at your assigned locations.” And yet there was no mention anywhere on move-in day of places to acquire water, nor were there water bottles provided to anyone.
Freshman Day of Service is another unfortunate example. At some of the sites that involved being outside in the heat, there was not… more23 votes -
Cheaper campus dinning options
J Street and Pelham Commons dinning halls are far over priced. Ask students on campus how the food is and they will have no complaints other than that it is far too expensive. Sodexo has over prices their meals and the buffets are ridiculously prices at $7.99 lb. Pelham Commons just started charging 25 cents for a take out box... that's absurd (we all know that a take out box doesn't cost 25 cents. CAMPUS DINNING IS TOO EXPENSIVE

Put the SA Test bank online
It's a pain coming into the office to look at old tests, it should be accessible from the SA website.

Currently due to copyright law, the SA would have to ask permission of every professor to post their tests online (it’s intellectual property). We are working to develop a scan to email system where when requested, scans of tests could be sent to user’s email accounts (this way we are not breaking the law).

Have water dispensers next to the study carrels in Gelman.
Instead fo constantly getting up and asking people to watch your things or packing up everything to go get a drink, it'd be easier to have water dispensers in Gelman next to study carrels.

Organizations who put flyers/posters around school to recylce their posters after their event
This will reduce the huge amount of clutter on boards around school and the stairway in Phillips Hall. It will also promote GW's goal to be environmentally friendly!

Require students to remove bikes from racks after more than 1 semester of non-use.
There are currently several bikes on racks that have been there, unmoved and rusting away, for literally over 18 months, but the owner still claims them. Those bikes are taking up valuable space for those of us who actually ride bikes, but the university currently has no policy whatsoever on bike rack usage.

Place a Bike Rack outside of Elliott School
There is no room outside elliott school for locking up bikes, this leads to stripping bark off of trees and generally not looking nice at all. There is a spot by the E street dorm to place a bike rack. They cost not much more than 100$ plus the cost of installation.
